Bow 2 motor 6.8HP

Description

Available in 12V or 24V, this legendary motor produces 6.8 hp at 5,000 rpm and is 25 mm longer than the Bow Motor 1 .

The Bow motor 2 also has low power consumption compared to other commonly used motors such as the Warn XP 6HP unit. The Bow motor 2 is a very resilient motor and favours "over-volting" (this is when 24v is run through 12v motors). This motor does not like to stand still and will be damaged if this happens. The motor has an 'O' ring seal on the end cap to make it waterproof, and we recommend sealing the F1, F2 and A connections with silicone sealant when mounting. These motors feature heavy copper armature windings, welded with copper to the commutator, with highly efficient roller bearings at each end. Four huge, durable brushes ensure the motor runs cooler.

If you fit the older Warn 8274 with a keyed shaft type, you should also replace the pinion with the later Splined Pinion Gear type.
